HONGKONG FOOD GUIDE: “Must-Eats”!!

HONG KONG is Undeniably a Food Paradise!
Egg Tarts, Roast Goose, Pigeon, Scrambled Egg, Dim Sum, Steamed Milk Pudding etc.

Picking out those that I feel its worth sharing

AUSTRALIAN DAIRY CO
Check out the queue! Although the queue is pretty lone, the pace is quick as well. They could clear 40-50 people in half an hour.

If you are a fan of steamed milk pudding and scrambled egg, you shouldn't even leave HK without coming here! This place is legendary.

47-49 Parkes Street Jordan (near Jordan MTR - EXIT C2)

Opening Hours: Daily 730am to 11pm

MAK'S NOODLES (CENTRAL)

A small bowl will cost you approximately SGD6 with 3 wontons hidden below. I won't really recommend this in view that the soup has alot of MSG which leaves me drowning water for the rest of the afternoon. Noodles however is really springy QQ and they are generous with their wonton fillings - stuffed with full size prawn and lots of meat!

G/F, 77 Wellington St, Central, Hong Kong.
Opening Hours: Mon to Sun 11am – 10pm

Wonton mee is one of Des's favourite food and I was being dragged to try out both Mak and Tsim Chai Kee despite feeling full from a heavy dimsum breakfast.

The soup had a great balance of pork and seafood with just a hint of sweetness and is not as salty as Mak's. They too, are very generous with the Wonton filling and cost approximately SGD4 which i thought was more reasonable.

 Char Siew Bun - ordinary
If you wanna find somewhere comfortable and clean, this is where you should visit. Food wise, I believe you could find equally good ones elsewhere.

Yee Shun Milk Company 義順牛奶公司
Their 2 signature dishes (Steam Milk and Steam Milk with Ginger Juice) are really just average when compared to Australian Dairy Co IMO.

香港鏞記酒家 Yung Kee Restaurant
Beef Hor Fun which i thought was light and done perfectly how I love it. The beef is tender and not overcooked.
Pi Dan - according to my frens, this is the only restaurant that could achieve a runny egg yolk. Not a Pi Dan lover and can't comment much.
Roasted Goose - much more meatier and succulent than a roast duck. Highlight would be the crispy goose skin and the thin layer of fat that comes along with it. However, its too oily for my liking.
Roasted Pigeon however was a little disappointing. The meat is dry.
