Gold Coast: Vineyard Tour

DAY 3 IN GOLD COAST

After having breakfast @ Crema Espresso which I blogged about previously HERE, we headed back to Palazzo Colonnades and wait our pre-arranged Tour Guide - Trevor to pick us up.

For AUD250 (2pax) we were expecting to travel in a mini bus with at least 8 other people just like our glow worm tour on the 1st night. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised that it is a private tour.

1st stop - Mount Nathan Winery

What we thought was unique was that their wine is made from honey instead of grapes which we were all familiar with.

Outdoor Farm which we had truckload of fun playing with the alpacas and best of all, we were the only visitor in the farm after the chinese tour group left.

2nd Stop - O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyard

You could get a bottle of wine, their picnic basket at the gourmet counter and pick a spot at the vineyard to enjoy a pleasant lunch.

Then it was a lovely picnic lunch prepared by Trevor and he drove us up to Mt Tamborine.

Family Picnic By the Park... if only our weather permits, we can do it more often in SIN too.

nice and healthy spread

I wanted to get some freshly roasted macadamia and Trevor drove us to the market place on the mountain to satisfy this. Regretted not buying more.

3rd Stop - Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard & Winery

not too many pictures as we were too busy doing wine tasting and gotten a little tipsy. lol.

  2. I've done this one twice. Once in 2004 with one brother and once in 2008 with the other brother. Trevor did remember us the second time. I was impressed. Now my brother wants to know which tour we did then and your blog was quite helpful to find the right one. Thanks. (Fieke, from the Netherlands)
